15 delta variant cases detected in Rawalpindi - Newspaper :

The health authorities recommended smart lockdown in 10 localities of Rawalpindi district from where the delta variant cases have been reported. — Reuters/File
RAWALPINDI: As many as 15 people were diagnosed with the delta variant of Covid-19 in the Rawalpindi district, said Divisional Commissioner Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah on Thursday.
He asked the health authority to take precautionary measures and urged the citizens to get themselves vaccinated as soon as possible to avoid further spread of the virus.
“All government employees should submit their vaccination certificate by July 15 otherwise their salaries will be stopped,” he stated this at a meeting held to review the Covid-19 situation.
