16 arrested in TPD operation targeting drug activity, crime in Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Tallahassee Police Department said Monday that they've arrested a total of 16 people after a week-long operation targeting illegal drug activity and crime near the North Monroe Street area.
TPD said they recently conducted a week-long operation to "address community concerns regarding quality of life issues" in the North Monroe Street/ I-10 area.
During the week of Feb. 1, officers conducted investigations in the area in response to community complaints about illegal drug activity and crimes.
As a result of the operation, more than a dozen individuals were arrested and charged with crimes ranging from driving-related offenses to trafficking in methamphetamine.
