20-year-old N.J. man charged in shooting death of girlfriend Updated Mar 10, 2021; Facebook Share A 20-year-old man has turned himself in after being charged with killing his 19-year-old girlfriend over the weekend in Union County. Jamar I. Webber surrendered to Newark police at 11:30 p.m. Monday, a day after he gunned down Malikah Taylor at his Union home, according to the the Union County Prosecutor’s Office. Taylor, of Newark, was found shot at the house on the 2100 block of Melrose Parkway near the corner of Hillcrest Terrace North early Sunday, the prosecutor’s office said. She was pronounced dead at University Hospital in Newark at about 8 a.m. Sunday.
