The production start date has been revealed. It was last September when the Multi-Flex tailgate was revealed as a feature for the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. At the time, we were told Chevy's version of GMC's MultiPro tailgate won't be available until sometime in early 2021. Today, more precise information has come to light regarding the on-sale dates. GM Authority claims it has information from sources familiar with the automaker's marketing plans that customer orders for the Multi-Flex tailgate officially opened last week on December 17. However, production isn't slated to get underway until February. To be clear, these two tailgates are exactly the same and differ in branding name only. GMC's version has been on sale for several months already, so it's possible for interested Chevy buyers to check it out its many cool features right now.
