H-T Report After being canceled by the COVID-19 pandemic last summer, the Monroe County Fair is back and will offer a variety of food, entertainment and other fun through Sunday at the fairgrounds southwest of Bloomington. Fair activities start Monday while the midway opens at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The carnival rides will continue through Sunday. Other returning attractions at the fairgrounds, 5700 W. Airport Road, include 4-H and open class competitions, food stands, commercial exhibits, a rodeo, concerts, a baby contest, a demolition derby and other motor sports. New events include laser tag, Bear Hollow wood carving and a dinosaur meet-and-greet.
