2021 Officer of the Year Awards 6:29 pm 2 Officers were awarded the Law Enforcement Officer Of The Year award Today by the Centre County District Attorney’s office. One of those was Detective Stephen Bozak from the State College Police Department. Bozak has been a detective for 31 years and is known for his leadership, hard work, compassion and caring demeanor. Detective Bozak says he’s fortunate enough to work for a department that supports him and his work. The other receipient was Trooper Michael Brown from the Pennsylvania State Police who was recognized for his work in a case that led to a first degree murder conviction.
