2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift: Prices and variants explained Tuhin Guha Updated: January 06, 2021, 08:50 PM IST Toyota India has launched the facelifted Toyota Fortuner in India. This is the mid-cycle refresh for the second generation of the most popular three-row 4x4 SUV in the country. Aside from the updates to the regular Fortuner, Toyota has also introduced a more upmarket Toyota Fortuner Legender variant with more premium looks and features. A big change with this update to the Fortuner is that the 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine has been now been reworked to produce 204PS and 500 Nm with the six-speed auto, an increase of 27PS and 50 Nm. The torque output drops to 420 Nm when paired with the six-speed manual. The 2.7-litre petrol remains unaltered. This motor puts out 166PS and 245 Nm and pairs with either a six-speed auto or five-speed manual. Further, the diesel engine now gets drive modes - Eco, Normal and Sport while the petrol continues with the Eco and Power modes like earlier. The diesel versions also get dynamic flow control steering.
