The highest ever 12 deaths were reported in the district on Sunday. So far 398 people have succumbed to the infection. As of Sunday, 3,170 were under treatment and among them, 2,325 are in home isolation. Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister K.S. Eshwarappa, who is in charge of the district, reviewed the situation at McGann Hospital in Shivamogga on Monday. He expressed shock over the increase in the number of deaths in the recent days.
