This story has been updated with suspect information released by the Memphis Police Department. Memphis police are searching for a suspect accused of shooting and killing a 4-year-old child in North Memphis. According to police, the toddler was inside the car with "several" adult males when a shot was fired inside of the car. Updated information from police indicated an argument broke out between the passengers of the car and another party outside of the vehicle when the shooting occurred. Terrell Woods, 40, has been identified by police as the person who allegedly fired the gun. The shooting took place in the 1000 block of North Lexington Circle in North Memphis around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
