5 people in critical condition after 2-car crash in south Phoenix

A crash in south Phoenix on Thursday night left five people in critical condition, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
David Ramirez, a department spokesman, said the crash involved two cars and occurred near 20th Street and Baseline Road around 9 p.m. 
Five people were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, and Ramirez said two of them also had to be extricated from their car. Out of the five victims, four were men ages 21, 22, 23 and 30 and the fifth victim was a woman, 21.
