Article content I was never one to bother with makeup too much, but I’ll admit I didn’t like to leave the house without a touch of lipstick. I suspect the cosmetic industry has noticed a big drop in sales with COVID. Why bother when your face is covered with a mask? I’ve read that some people put extra effort into making up their eyes, but really, is it necessary? I have found that it has become quite easy to read people’s expressions through their eyes, and most times, it is clear they are smiling. Won’t it be wonderful to cast aside the masks and greet each other with big grins and hugs! The stores should re-stock their counters soon for a big run on new lipstick! Now, where perfume is concerned, there are many places nowadays that forbid it due to folks with scent allergies, a very legitimate condition. I don’t suppose its banishment bothers too many of us here in the Ottawa Valley, where the preeminent odour of summer is eau-de-bug-dope.
