60,000 user boost expected for Splash Palace as hydroslide development opens

The new $3.2m hydroslide development at Splash Palace in Invercargill has been officially opened.
On Monday Thompson was there when the new $3.2 million three-slide hydroslide development was officially opened at Splash Palace.
At 13m tall, Splash Palace is now home to New Zealand's tallest indoor hydroslide.
The three slides differ in length, 69m, 79m, and a 101m raft slide.
“I’m not often lost for words, but it's just so remarkable that the community come together like it has and for the councillors to get on board and support it. From day one I think people have seen the opportunity,” Thompson said.
