67-year-old man dies in single-car crash on I-96 Monday morning Updated Mar 08, 2021; NOVI, MI -- Michigan State Police are investigating a single-car crash that took place Monday morning and claimed the life of a 67-year-old Farmington Hills man. Details are limited, but troopers with the MSP responded to a call regarding the crash around 4:05 a.m. Monday. The crash took place on eastbound I-96 east of Beck Road in Novi. When troopers arrived on the scene, they found the victim had been driving a Mercury Grand Marquis when it appears to have left the roadway. The car exited the highway on the right shoulder and struck the guardrail, killing the driver.
