The BJP’s showcase city, Ahmedabad, clocked the lowest turnout of over 37 per cent, even as six key municipal corporations held by the ruling party on Sunday saw a little over 40 per cent voting out of the total 1.14 crore voters in the first phase of the local body elections in Gujarat.
