Vadodara/ Anand:As many as seven students of the mathematics department of Vallabh Vidyanagar based SardarPatel University (SPU) have cleared their joint CSIR-UGC NET exam recently. This is perhaps the highest number of students in Gujarat, who have cleared the national eligibility test (NET)in mathematics stream, one of the toughest higher education exams. CSIR-UGC NET is a test conducted to determine the eligibility for junior research fellowship (JRF) and for lectureship(LS) in Indian universities and colleges subject to the eligibility criteria laid down by the University Grants Commission (UGC). “The exam was conducted in November 2020 and results declared recently. We are proud to have the highest number of students who have cleared NET from our department in Gujarat,” said head of mathematics department A H Hasmani.
