LTFRB-Central Visayas Director Eduardo Montealto, Jr. said majority of the apprehensions were because of overloading or non-observance of the physical distancing among passengers, including the non-wearing of face masks and face shields. He also said most of those flagged down for these violations were those plying to and from Talisay City and Lapu-Lapu City. Montealto said the imposition of minimum health protocols in public transportation is not optional and violations for such have corresponding penalties.
