Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Dec. 18, 1920. As of this morning, money contributed to the Salvation Army’s fund for Christmas baskets and donations to the needy is almost to the $200 mark. Forty-five or more Sheridan families will receive Christmas dinners and gifts this year. The committee handling plans for the celebration that will attend the illumination of a tree on East Grinnell street on Christmas Eve has issued a request for additional funds for the event. Thomas Thain of Buffalo is visiting in Sheridan today.
