May 13, 2021 The seminar included field and theoretical parts under the guidance of Boris Dmitrievich Romanyuk, an employee of the St. Petersburg Forestry Research Institute . In the field part of the seminar, two sections of passage felling were demonstrated, where the advantages and problems of applying the new requirements were announced. Then, at the plenary session, practical recommendations were presented in more detail for the transition to standards for intensive use of forests during thinning and passage felling. Much attention was paid to innovations at each stage of the work: on the selection of a site for felling, on the allotment of the cutting area, when choosing the parameters of felling, current control and handing over the work to the forestry.
