Moncton, NB, Canada / 91.9 The Bend May 13, 2021 | 5:59 PM Acadia Broadcasting Limited, the parent company of this radio station announced Thursday it’s growing again, and will assume ownership and operation of two Halifax-based radio stations beginning May 14. The acquisition of Hot Country 103.5 and Jewel 105 from HFX Broadcasting Inc., a subsidiary of Evanov Communications Inc. comes after approval last month by the Canadian Radio-television Telecommunications Commission which granted Acadia the authority to acquire both radio stations. Chris Pearson, President of Acadia Broadcasting Limited says the company is thrilled to be taking over operations for both stations effective Friday. “I am confident the team we have will serve the city and surrounding communities with relevant locally focused content, great on-air entertainment in addition to supporting local charitable and nonprofit organizations as we do at all of our Acadia stations,” said Pearson.
