THE PUBLIC are being warned against holiday and travel fraud as bookings surge following the government’s announcement on how lockdown restrictions will be eased. Action Fraud, the national reporting centre for fraud and cyber crime along ABTA, The Travel Association, are reminding would-be holiday makers to think twice before handing over their money and personal information when booking holidays this year, with criminals having targeted unsuspecting holidaymakers booking airline tickets, holiday accommodation and religious pilgrimages in previous years.
