There are 20 outbreaks in long-term care or retirement homes. There have been two deaths linked to the outbreak at Chartwell Westmount long-term care. A total of 47 residents and 27 staff have tested positive for COVID-19. The outbreak at Chartwell Elmira Retirement Residence continues to grow with 37 cases in residents and 13 in staff. There are outbreaks at two child care centres with two cases each. An outbreak at Conestoga Meats rose to 99 cases. Other outbreaks include: One at an independent living centre with one case. Eight at congregate settings: One with 19 cases, one with 14 cases, one with eight cases, three with one case and two with three cases.
