2199 On February 1, foreign ministerial-level consultations were held between Turkmenistan and the Sultanate of Oman via videoconferencing. The event was virtually attended by Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood AlBusaidi. Discussions centered on a broad range of issues of the bilateral relations in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian areas. The two sides recognized the significance of high-level contacts in strengthening the ties between the two countries. The Ministers stated the effectiveness of collaboration between the Foreign Ministries and highlighted the importance of advancing the dialogue and partnership through regional and international organizations. The parties pointed out the similarity of the two countries’ viewpoints on maintaining peace, stability and sustainable economic growth. This is evidenced by the active and effective cooperation between the two countries within the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and other reputable organizations.
