PHOTO: Fionn Claydon | unsplash When I started working in the mid-'90s, we sent faxes. Email was barely a thing. We did most of our communication by phone or in person. Everything â and I mean everything â was on paper. Now I donât even own a printer. Everything I do is digital. Iâm on Zoom calls all day long. Things changed, and that meant I had to change. Leadership in the digital age is different â and requires different skills. You need to be more agile. But what does it mean to be agile? Obviously if weâre talking about working out, I may mean flexible, able to bend, able to respond quickly to changes in my environment. And itâs pretty similar in the workplace, too. You have to be able to adapt and respond to change. You canât be stuck in one way of doing things. You have to be able to learn, to change, to grow, especially if you are leading your organization through digital transformation.
