Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, Upper West Regional Minister Mr Emmanuel Sasu Yeboah, the Upper West Regional Director of the Department of Agriculture, has assured farmers in the region that the government is working assiduously to make the subsidised fertilizer available. He said the current shortage of the Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) fertilizer was a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which had affected the quantities of the input produced to meet its growing demand. Mr Yeboah, who gave the assurance in an interaction with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Wa at the weekend, said he had communicated to the appropriate authority regarding the shortage and the dire need for the input in the region.
