705 A Public Relations Practitioner, Mr Razak Kojo Opoku, has described the Agyapa Royalties deal as a better way of leveraging the country’s mineral resources for the benefit of all. He said the deal has the potential for advancing the socio-economic and infrastructural needs of the country. The decision of the government to list the Agyapa Royalties on the stock market was aimed at raising revenue for national development and it was never for the personal benefit of family members of President Akufo-Addo as alleged by members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and some Civil Society Organisations (CSOs). He said the concerns raised by the Minority in Parliament and CSOs against the Agyapa Royalties deal had been addressed by the government.
