'Kalamae' quits shows after police questioning

Kalamae: Wants to show responsibility
Embattled emcee Patcharasri "Kalamae" Benjamas has quit hosting two popular TV shows after responding to charges about allegations that she exaggerated the benefits of her food supplement product.
The charges were lodged against her with the Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD) by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
She finally met police on Monday after failing to comply with a prior summons.
According to the CPPD, Ms Patcharasri faces three charges. The first two include exaggerating her claims and advertising without permission, under the 1979 Food and Drugs Act, it said.
