Alderman Ralph Hanauer says he’s being inundated by complaints from constituents about homes in their neighborhoods where grass is growing out of control. Hanauer says property owners must keep grass properly trimmed… and says he has turned several problem properties over to the city’s public works departments. City ordinance says grass cannot be allowed to grow more than ten inches in height. If city crews have to come out and cut the grass, the property owner will be fined $250.
