Black teenager Michael Brown was killed by police. And hatety completes its long over due election with names marred on the rolls. We are going to start in turkey where there has been a series of attacks on Security Forces and we heard that four Police Officers have been killed in the southeast of the country and earlier in istanbul two armed attackers opened fire own the u. S. Consulate building and earlier overnight a bomb exploded outside a Police Station on the other side of the city injuring seven people, there was a gun fight that followed in the hours that followed. And Bernard Smith is outside the consulate and he joins me live now and bernard what is going on at the consulate there behind you . Well, there was a gun attack earlier this morning. Two people, a man and a woman, opened fire on the consulate building behind me and was built with security and its at the top of the hill on the outskirts of istanbul and moved here for security reasons and the two opened fire at it on a Security Check point rather than at the main building, there was a man an a woman, the man escaped and the woman was involved with a shoot out with the police and she was injured and there was video by a witness who managed to film the police who were shooting at that woman and she is heard to shout with the police i did this for my party she shouts. She is understands and we understand she is a 51yearold woman who has been taken to hospital for treatment. The other man, the other attacker is at large and in the last few minutes the police have reopened up this area around the consulate and have not told us what is going on but there is no further searching going on here but the man seems to escape in the wider area around here. Okay, and then we had this earlier attack, didnt we, there was a bomb blast. At 1 00 this morning, monday morning there was a bomb blast on the asian side on the far edge of istanbul at a Police Station and at least seven people were injured in that attack and one of them critically. In the earlier hours of this morning a frorn forensic side with the damage left by the bomb attackers opened fire on the Forensic Team and the two attackers were killed and the Police Officer was killed in that shootout there. Bernard, the latest news we are getting from turkey is there has been another attack, four Police Officers have been killed and this happened in the southeast of the country. You have been there, what do you know about this attack and the area . Well, yeah, this happened in solapi and we understand that four Police Officers were killed when their car drove over a mine, a roadside bomb planted in the road in shernok province and there has been a lot of fighting between the Security Forces and from the out lawed p. K. K. So that is a very tense area and fighting going on there for the past couple of weeks and turkish Security Forces launching air strikes on p. K. K. In iraq and turkey and the area has been tense for a while. Bernard smith we will leave it there, thank you very much. A car bomb has been detonated just outside the airport in afghanistans capitol kabul and the blast went off at the civilian entrance and Jennifer Glasse is in kabul for us and jennifer give us an update on this, please. Police tell us in that attack at the main entrance to the civilian airport five people have been killed and more than 20 injured, its always a very busy area and check point and its where everybody has to stop and have their bags checked and actually be physically checked themselves and we understand among the dead and injury are women and children and police as well as foreigners and the police chief tells us the target was the airport itself and afghans are very nervous about security and this is after 24 hours of attack killed more than 55 and injured 25 and one of the attacks including a huge truck bomb on the edge of the city that wounded more than 250 people collapsed buildings and sent glass flying and the police chief tells us the reason behind the attacks is they want to show afghans they can start at the heart of kabul.
