PETALING JAYA: Students at higher learning institutions will be allowed to cross state borders to return home for Hari Raya Aidilfitri. The Higher Education Ministry announced that all students – except those in Sarawak – would be allowed to travel interstate from campus to their homes and return on designated dates in May. "Students have the choice to go home or remain on their campus during the holidays. "This is in line with the previous relaxation given by the National Security Council (NSC) for the education sector previously," it said in a statement on Thursday (April 29). The ministry said the NSC made the decision during a special meeting on Wednesday (April 28).
