An elephant mowed down by a speeding train near Guwahati
The wild elephant was hit by a high-speed train and killed in Chandrapur area, near Guwahati. The department of Forest arrived at the spot
Guwahati: A wild elephant was hit and killed by a speeding train near Guwahati on Friday morning.
The incident took place in the wee hours this morning while the elephant was killed after being hit by the speeding train at Panbari, Chandrapur area, near Guwahati.
The team of forest department reached the spot.
Speaking to media a local man said, "The elephant came at around 3.30 AM when it was hit and killed by a speeding train."
