Hunt Military Communities is launching its second annual Hunt Little Heroes program. âHunt Heroes Foundation started the program as a way to honor military children for their sacrifices and community service,â Lynette Hegeman, marketing director of Hunt Military Communities, said. âWe chose March/April as it coincides with April â Month of the Military Child. So much emphasis is always put on our active military members and veterans, but very little attention is given to the children â many of which endure long periods of time with a parent deployed, long working hours, or just time away from family.â The contest is open to military children ages 4-15 throughout the country and the submission options include a 300-word essay, a video thatâs two minutes or less, or a drawing telling their âHero Storyâ in their unique way.
