Annual contest hunts for heroic military children

Hunt Military Communities is launching its second annual Hunt Little Heroes program.
“Hunt Heroes Foundation started the program as a way to honor military children for their sacrifices and community service,” Lynette Hegeman, marketing director of Hunt Military Communities, said. “We chose March/April as it coincides with April – Month of the Military Child. So much emphasis is always put on our active military members and veterans, but very little attention is given to the children – many of which endure long periods of time with a parent deployed, long working hours, or just time away from family.”
The contest is open to military children ages 4-15 throughout the country and the submission options include a 300-word essay, a video that’s two minutes or less, or a drawing telling their “Hero Story” in their unique way.
