The Mainland Tactix have boosted their ANZ Premiership finals hopes with a crucial win over the Central Pulse.
Sunday's 47-34 victory at Nelson's Trafalgar Centre pushes the Tactix to third equal with the Southern Steel on the table with 21 points.
With just three rounds left, the two South Island teams will battle it out for a finals berth with every result pivotal over the next few weeks. They could both potentially make it if the Stars, who started 5-0, stumble over their last three games, having lost their last two to the Mystics.
