Apartments slated for old Hitchiner building January 28, 2021LITTLETON — The historic Hitchiner Manufacturing building on Beacon Street will soon become home to more than 100 upscale apartments. Derry-based developer Al Croteau recently entered into a purchase and sales agreement with existing property owner Bob Chapman with the intention to make housing available by next spring. The multi-phase, 140,000 square-foot project could potentially include mixed-use commercial and retail spaces, said Croteau. "We plan to put in between 125 and 145 apartments, that will be a blend of studio and one-bedroom units. Amenities will include a lounge area, a gym, WiFi-enabled workspaces, storage units and a laundry area. There will likely be some type of dog park on the property as well," he added.
