APD: Traffic stop yields two arrests AGN Media The Amarillo Police Department said a Tuesday traffic stop by an officer resulted in the arrest of two men for a stolen vehicle. Per a Wednesday APD media release, an officer at a red light at SW 15th Avenue and South Washington Street saw a 2000 black Chevrolet Suburban that had been reported stolen through the department on Jan. 22. Authorities said the officer stopped the vehicle in a driveway in the 1700 block of South Hughes Street, where three occupants of the vehicle were detained during the investigation. Per the media release, the driver, Jaysen Paul Braman, 35, was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and a local municipal warrant while a passenger, Halie Dawn Smith, 21, was placed under arrest for a probation violation warrant out of Randall County. The third passenger was released, according to police.
