Appleton: Jury selection delayed in trial of man charged in 2017 death

APPLETON - The trial of a man accused of shooting and killing a woman more than three years ago was delayed Monday morning shortly before jury selection was expected to begin.
Johnny Scott, 62, was arrested shortly after 2 a.m. September 21, 2017, in front of a Canary Street duplex he shared with Annie Ford, 48, and her son. Ford was found in a bedroom with multiple gunshot wounds and taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Scott's trial was scheduled to begin Monday and last until Friday, but a pool of potential jurors that had gathered Monday morning for jury selection were told to report back Tuesday morning, according to Outagamie County Judge Greg Gill's office.
