Pio Diñoso tags the landmine attack of the New People’s Army (NPA) Wednesday morning, July 7 as a “desperate act of these terrorists as the campaign to defeat them has reached an irreversible stage.” Three were confirmed dead, while six were reportedly wounded in a landmine attack near a newly established military camp in Jipapad, Eastern Samar by suspected members of the NPA Wednesday morning. “The NPA insists on using anti-personnel mines that were already banned since 1997. This only shows the complete disregard of the NPA to humanitarian laws and a testament to their terroristic nature.”
