Around 30 out of 40 companies are expected to qualify for India's Rs 17,000-crore production linked incentive (PLI) scheme for IT hardware. The scheme aims to encourage the production of personal computers, laptops, tablets, servers, and other equipment. Major companies such as Dell and HP are participating directly, while others are joining through electronic manufacturing service companies.
