By Gord Wiebe Jun 3, 2021 | 11:26 AM The La Ronge General Investigation Section arrested a 13-year-old girl from the La Ronge area on Wednesday in relation to the assault on two children that occurred on May 29 th in a wooded area near the 400 block of Bells Point Road on Lac La Ronge First Nation. Investigators do not believe the incident was random. The victims aged six and eight, were taken to hospital for treatment of their injuries. The 13-year-old girl, cannot be identified as she is protected by the Youth Criminal Justice Act. She has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and was held to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court Thursday. No further information is being given so as to protect the identity of the children involved.
