Two women were injured in a duck shooting incident earlier this month. (File photo) A man has been arrested in relation to a duck shooting incident in Alexandra which injured two women. Police arrested a 26-year-old Central Otago man on Monday, and he was charged with careless use of a firearm causing bodily injury. The two women were walking along a track by the Clutha River on May 2 when they were hit by shotgun pellets allegedly discharged by a group of men duck shooting from a boat. The women received “nasty” bruises, Detective Senior Sergeant Malcolm Inglis said. One woman was injured in the lower leg and the other in the shoulder.
