Police announce checkpoints
POTTSVILLE — The North Central Regional Sobriety Checkpoint DUI Taskforce announced that roving DUI patrols and sobriety checkpoints will be conducted now through Jan. 5.
The Highway Safety Network reminds travelers if they suspect a drunk driver to dial 911 or to report underage drinking call, toll-free, 1-888-UNDER21.
The sobriety checkpoints are part of the North Central PA Regional Sobriety Checkpoint and Expanded DUI/Underage Drinking Enforcement Program funded through PennDOT and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
