A seasonal warning came several weeks ago from a good friend and fellow year-round gardener. âDonât plant any parsley. I have enough started for all of us,â was her message. Having purchased and installed a plant-light growing system on her enclosed back porch, this fellow gardener had been getting ahead on the planting season by starting a variety of seeds. Apparently, just about every seed of the pack of parsley sheâd planted had sprouted. This favorite culinary herb, which most of us cooks have in our kitchen, is getting a special salute this year. Parsley has been chosen as the Herb of the Year for 2021.
