KETCHIKAN (KDN) â The Ketchikan Emergency Operations Center charted two new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, according to an evening press release. Â "Both individuals were symptomatic," according to the EOC statement. "One case was determined to be a close contact to a known positive, and one case is under investigation as to the source. The contact investigations are ongoing." Â Of Ketchikan's cumulative 407 cases, eight were considered active in the community on Thursday. The local test positivity rate was 1.17%, unchanged from Wednesday. Results were pending from 34 tests, down from 43 tests on Wednesday, according to the EOC. Tests conducted on or before Tuesday at the Berth 3 drive-up testing site had been processed by Thursday. Individuals who were tested during that time and had not been contacted by local health officials received a negative test result.
