Annual fund drive under way. The Hyndman Volunteer Fire Departmentâs 2021 fund drive is under way. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, firefighters are not doing door-to-door collections this year. Donations can be dropped off at the fire hall any Tuesday evening, mailed in the self-addressed envelopes sent out with the fund drive letter or mailed directly to P.O. Box 696, Center Street, Hyndman, PA 15545. The department also is in need of volunteers to serve, fight fires and fund raise. The Everett Free Library will resume in person story times. The programs start Friday at 11 a.m. and continue every Friday at 11 a.m., weather permitting. Story time will be held outdoors in the front yard of the library where families will be socially distanced, bring your own chairs or blankets. Each child will also receive a craft kit each week.
