PRINCE RUPERT, B.C. -- Starting tomorrow, the Council of the Haida Nation is officially reopening Haida Gwaii to visitors. It’s good news for the islands’ tourism industry, which has essentially been on life support throughout the pandemic. James Cowpar is the co-owner of Haida Style Expeditions, which offers cultural tours of the region. He says it’s been “a rough go” since the pandemic began.
