ASHA workers unite for recognition, honorarium

ASHA workers raised several crucial issues, including the delinking of the Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) portal from the honorarium payment process, fixing a fair honorarium of Rs.15,000 by both Central and State Governments, ending the insistence on mobile-based work without incentives, recognising ASHA workers as formal employees with minimum wages, provident fund (PF), Employees’ State Insurance (ESI), and gratuity benefits.
