Assam Regiment & Arunachal Scouts of Indian Army now formally affiliated to IAF’s No 106 Squadron New Delhi, Feb 15 (UNI) With an aim to forge better interoperability among the various units of armed forces, the Assam Regiment & Arunachal Scouts of the Indian Army was formally affiliated to Indian Air Force’s (IAF) 106 Squadron ‘Lynx’ at Tezpur in Assam on Monday. On the occasion, Colonel of the Assam Regiment and Arunachal Scouts Major General PS Behl took inspection of the Guard of Honour and signed ‘Charter of Affiliation’ with the Squadron Group Captain Varun Slaria of IAF’s 106. The gathering was addressed by Maj Gen PS Behl in which he spoke of the importance of affiliation and its far reaching impact in the present day. The General Officer highlighted that the idea behind the affiliation was aimed at greater understanding of each other’s operational ethos, building camaraderie and espirit-de-corps. This enhanced synergy and understating of each other’s strengths will act as a ‘Force Multiplier’ within our armed forces.
