Assam to identify density of COVID-19 cases in the state to organise testing and vaccination

Synopsis
Sonowal while taking stock of the COVID-19 situation in Central Assam especially in Nagaon, Hojai and Morigaon districts, asked the Deputy Commissioners of the respective districts to ensure safety and speed in rolling out of the third phase of vaccination drive starting on May 1.
Amidst complaint of several people being sent back citing no vaccine available, Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal asked the Deputy commissioner to finalise a broad roadmap and identify the areas where there are more infected people to organise testing as well as vaccination drives in their respective districts.
