The awarding of this year’s recognition in Phillipston generated extensive discussion at Wednesday’s meeting of the Selectboard. “I’ve sent out a notice announcing the employee of the year,” Chief Administrative Officer Kevin Flynn told the meeting. “This will be the second year. Nominations are due next Tuesday. “Last year was the first year I did it. I made three awards: Employee of the Year was (Public Works Director) Rick Tenney; Role Model, Police Chief (Kevin) Dodge; and Unsung Hero, Chuck Kolbenson.
