File picture of a Covid-19 mass screening in Selangor. PETALING JAYA: An audit must be conducted on the mandatory Covid-19 screening of foreign workers, says the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA). Its president Datuk Dr Subramaniam Muniandy said an audit by the Health Ministry’s Private Medical Practice Control Section (CKAPS) on the screenings will help to ensure full compliance with the guidelines. “MMA proposes that the audits be conducted on site itself where mass screenings are being conducted. “The audits will also be necessary to prevent increasing attempts from middlemen to commercialise the Covid-19 screenings due to high demand, ” he said in a statement on Sunday (Dec 20).
