Wildlife rehabilitators at the Woodhaven Wildlife Center in Chadwicks were called in to help the Department of Environment Conservation rescue the bird on Saturday. Judy Cusworth, who runs the rehabilitation center with Vinny Egresits, say the bird hit a power line when trying to fly away, and landed on the icy creek.
